Describe: PUR thickener is one of the most important additives used in water-based paint, it is also known as “bonding thickener”. The PUR thickener will bind with the binder particles to form a micelle system with a three-dimensional structure. This structure leads to stabilization of the liquid phase in the paint resulting in increased viscosity, increased thickness, and resistance to mechanical influences allowing the product to approach Newtonian properties.
